...and only a week after we ordered it all the way from the USA! Yep, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5! Wonderful!! We've taken 238 "test" pictures and movies just today. ;)
We took most of the pictures late in the day. This is the front screen door.
The peas are coming along nicely! Nothing seems interested in chewing them up, unless the frog I saw last night is keeping the pest numbers down.
Spartagus the asparagus is still growing new little spears. The cage around him is to support his height during the high winds we've been experiencing lately.
These are the carrots! We thought the earwigs had destroyed them all, but it turns out there are quite a few who are making it (so far)!
Here is a lovely sight - after all, these little buggers have caused so much destruction!
Because of the traps, some of the beans are sprouting (and keeping) new leaves!
These are the beetroot seedlings.
Here is the corn, just busting to get out and grow wild. :)
We've planted lots of native trees out the back. This is the Lemon Scented Gum - my favourite! They're all protected with plastic sleeves or cages so the rabbits won't eat them down to the ground.
The little She-Oak that was literally a brown half-dead stick has come back to life!
While planting trees, we get quite a few bricks that we try and remove. On this occasion, we found half a building worth of them! It was hard work getting them out, and there is still more and a gaping hole underneath that must also be filled. Here is just one, which has a nice little reminder of who put it there in the first place. :p We're considering giving all the bricks back to the Stawell Council with a little "thanks but no thanks" note. ha.
The sewing machine is green again! :)
I just like this picture of Marty and Michael enjoying a lazy afternoon..
Looking forward to posting a little more often now we finally have a working camera! See you then!
Good to see the pictures back. New camera seems to do a very good job. Front door is cool. Love all the crops and plants and trees you have going. Especially the corn, nothing beats corn on the cob. And your new camera passed the Marty test. If it doesn't break taking his picture, it should be indestructible. Ha Ha. Hope everything else is going well for you two. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGood choice on the color of the screen door. Looks good. Hope you have good luck with the "old" sewing machine. I had one very much like it back in the 60's-70's. I made some of Marty's baby clothes on it. mom
