Candling - Day 7

We quickly candled the eggs just now, and although we're beginners at it, I think 8 of the Wyandotte eggs are developing, and 9 Dorking eggs seem to be developing too. We'll leave the odd ones in there for a bit longer, just in case we got it wrong, but we've made an X on them so we know which ones they were.

So, not bad so far! Only 2 more weeks to go!

  3. Thanks Olive, crossing fingers!
Hi Jo, Backyard Poultry has been a very handy website. We thought a couple of the Dorking eggs had blood rings, but can't be sure. Hopefully it'll become obvious within the next week.
